Tests

What is it about tests or assessments that are just so extremely frustrating for a job?

Am I the only one vexed by the impromptu erratic assumptions that have to be done before you get the go ahead for a job placement!

Some people just aren’t good test takers, but are perfect for the jobs they are trying to apply for so why do these confounding tests help anyone?

Okay this is me ranting a little bit. I don’t like taking tests if it’s not about history or music. I am still amazed I got the passing grade of 93% to stay on the floor with this competency test, but that was after I got the job.

Over the years in order to apply for certain jobs though I have done well in two areas. I have mentioned this not too long ago I think but it was in customer service and medical terminology. You would think for a position dealing with medical terminology it should have still had the records for my proficiency in med terms. However, I have recently had to take an assessment for my typing skills. I type pretty fast when I am in my writing zone when you tell me it’s a test then I seem to have all thumbs. Isn’t that how it usually goes?

Thankfully it’s over now. God willing it is in His hands. I just don’t see how one can practice typing when you put that word in there. That word just interjects nervous pressure that wasn’t there before. I guess tests are just a part of life. Although it would be nice to have to deal with less of them at the same time.

Does ranting ever make you feel better? Typing out my thoughts do so I goes ranting with my fingers works!
