A Valentines Phone Call

This Valentines Day is the closest thing I have had to a real one ever. Yes I have had some intriguing days over the years with my family, but not with my one significant man. The Lord sent me a roller-coaster with this relationship for certain… though our bonds are stronger than ever despite our distance.

We have had more contact and interaction today than we have had on this specific day ever. He was actually in the hospital on our first Valentines Day together. It took a day or two to hear back from him. I was not a very happy camper about it, but was more frustrated that I couldn’t do anything about my boyfriend being sick half a country away.

So today was different. We are much more in sync than we were back two years ago. Time is amazing and when God puts two people together and it’s in His will there is no stopping what can be done with God guiding you. We had some time hearing our voices this evening. There is nothing like hearing the sweet voice of the man who has already won my heart and mind by his sheer, New England charm and vulnerable determination towards the woman in his heart. We are both completely crazy about each other.

His determination is very endearing. It’s unlike any action I have ever felt from a man around me here much less from Los Angeles or Boston. There’s a connection I never thought I could find online that we have in spades it seems off yet we complete each other’s thoughts and we know what the other is going to do. It really goes against my boggled mind that we can be so in sync. It feels a little weird I have only celebrated or not celebrated today with my family. Having someone to share it with seems a bit foreign especially with our circumstances and yet today has felt more special than ever.

I even got another Kissing Cherries sticker today… I cherish these cherries of ours.
