Well besides the thought of Cherry Kisses I guess it depends. Again candy is a generously broad term. A Muskeeters bar is a favorite chocolate bar of mine for a treat. Gum is more than a treat for me though. Sometimes I need it to keep my mouth and throat moist enough to sing. I know in elementary music teachers used to always say spit your gum out. It was funny when it was my Music teacher and Preacher’s wife telling me to suck on hard candy to do that very thing.
I still would rather have gum than hard candy though especially if it’s peppermint. These are bought candies though. My Grandma and Dad make Babe Ruth Candy Bars that are awesome. Rice Crispies with a mixture of chocolate and butterscotch on top. It’s a winning combination we can’t normally pass up on when they are right in front of us.
