As a writer I would maybe after to say the typewriter and its newer forms. By the time I came around the typewriter was on its way out of the focal point of writing. The 90’s was coming and computers had a newer form without the heavy duty typewriters all the time. Yet I remember watching the show “Murder She Wrote.” It featured her on her typewriter and that is a memory that has always stuck in my mind about being a writer.
She did eventually have someone type her manuscripts on a computer within the later seasons though. Now after never having used a typewriter I have the Bishop Family’s. I was so hoping to get my hands on it. I am really grateful I was able to speak up for it although I was told I was already considered a shoo-in to have it. This invention was the tool Grandma used to type my Grandpa’s 3 page summary on his Service Time. This item has such sentimental value to me it is good to have this typewriter close.
There may be other better inventions, but this one came to mind quicker and has emotional value to me as I said.
