Apparently I do. For at least a year actually maybe longer I have heard about this eclipse. Especially last year people were already making reservations for this opportunity to be within our state among the scope of its travel. Fortunately I don’t have to worry about that.
Other than taking a field trip to the star observatory in Terre Haute during my school years I haven’t taken as much interest in science like this. It seems like on vacation our family may have visited another observatory, but I cannot name what place it was or the state we were in. I did watch Apollo 13, but I was 10 years old music was still very much on my brain.
On April 8th, Monday it will begin over the South Pacific Ocean. According to NASA’s homepage, Mexico’s coastline at 11:07 will be the first of the North American continent to see the effects of this total eclipse. Slices of these states will be the fortunate states to see this phenomena. Starting with Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
The homepage lists the times they believe it will all enfold in each major city. There will be a partial eclipse before and after the total eclipse and they have it all meticulously timed out. It will be interesting to see how right or off they are on the exact timing.
Are you an Eclipse Enthusiast?
I guess though it’s hard to not be interested in God’s creation. The stars, moon and sun are all His creations.
Plus the man who leaves me dumbfounded at the sight of some of his daily messages says something as amazing as this recent one from this afternoon it tends to leave me with stars in my eyes.
“Hope your day is as beautiful as your smile though”
Don’t forget he almost always adds the blowing a kiss emoji and the heart!
