Lately I have been writing less on Saturdays. Letting myself go with the flow and doing some cross-stitching projects that are for specific times. It has been somewhat fun getting back into this creative fissure once again I had put it away for quite a while. It is nice to not be on my laptop nearly as much on the weekend for a bit of a change.
Then after grocery shopping some plans were made to visit an uncle that just had surgery and Grandma. Afterward we ate at Goosepond Pizza, Dad hasn’t eaten there for quite a while. It was interesting ordering he wasn’t sure what a calzone was, he knows now. That’s exactly what we ordered; one loaded and one meatlovers. I think he kind of liked it.
This morning I made it to Sunday School a second week in a row thank goodness. Last week it was Abram and today it was Isaac speaking, they are my cousins. The Lord works in wondrous ways it’s wonderful to see how my cousins and their talents are being used in the church. Their other brother Eli also works in the Children’s Church Ministry with his wife.
It’s funny in the Writing Prompt today I wrote about Grandpa Freddy’s death. I knew it was coming up but didn’t think anything of it until after church today. In Church a friend was affected by one of the songs during the song service before the message. She was in tears my heart went out to her. Then she asked to speak for a minute and gave a testimony. Still after all that it took me a while to remember testimony and Grandpa. The Preacher took it all in stride even singing another song after her few moments. It was a very emotional morning. I couldn’t leave church though; until I gave her a hug.
Right now I feel extremely blessed and at peace about Grandpa. Still the memories I have of him I will forever cherish. It’s also why I also feel blessed I was able to sit with people today who knew Grandpa well. It makes me feel closer to both my Grandparents Freddy and Rosemary, by sitting with Dale and Larry and Rita Papaw’s cousin. I am grateful for these moments in time.
