What do you complain about the most?-Writing Prompt

What do you complain about the most?

It seems more acrimonious to complain online behind a screen. I like the idea of telling the story of something that maybe has had some problems, but it’s being worked on. To want to complain about something seems quite unseemly just for the likes and attention.

My want in telling stories is to tell the story as accurately as possible. The little details that make it less about how a person feels and more about the unfolding of a story and its many unique outliers and layers within it.

We all complain it’s human nature. Some more than others and vice versa. If you have a servant’s heart, you know that murmuring is the opposite of serving others. Still it is hard to separate those thoughts and feelings at different times. It’s a battle I know I fight quite a bit personally. Not everyone needs to know our complaints and that is also a part of life’s hardships.

I know I need to work on this more. It’s a challenge that never stops in life. In the Old Testament Moses had to deal with his people constantly complaining to him. Never mind the fact God brought them out of Egypt, through the Red Sea and that He gave them manna and quail for 40 years. That food kept them healthy, vibrant and youthful, but day after day year after year they got tired of it. The blessing of how it was delivered to them had worn off on them.

Are we Americans feeling the same way with the borders we used to have? With the America we used to have? Complaints are heard by God same as our prayers our which do we do more of in this country or world?
