Life in the garden had to be incredible. Otherwise losing it wouldn’t have been so hard on Adam and Eve. One little sin turned everything topsy turvy. They no longer had their intimate connection to God in the garden or to each other.
Feelings were new to them of anger, fear and of course anxiety all things they had never experienced. Things we, in our generations since, have always dealt with in our day to day lives. Doesn’t that seem amazing to think of a time when those emotions didn’t exist. I can’t get over how to the nth detail Jill went in writing this book. Bringing out ideas that we take for granted everyone dealt with, yet knowing the first couple was made and lived in a different time.
It’s truly mind boggling at times.
We don’t give them enough credit for what they endured creating and multiplying. This is where work was absolutely the hardest when it was first essentially created. Tools had to be thought of and fashioned to work sometimes by God’s own counsel given to Adam to do precisely what He described to him. The same for the household items with Eve for storage and cooking. Strapping their many children on their bodies while working.
Of course we weren’t there and no photos were taken of that time. Only pictures in word form that Moses wrote long after it happened spoken to him by God. That is truly amazing. Ideas that some people think are modern may have actually been invented by Adam and Eve. It will be such a sight to be able to see and talk with these two.
