This book has my name and the year I was born written in it by my mother. So I am guessing it was bought for me that year. When I think of ‘The Lady and the Tramp’ I think of Grandma Rosie and watching the movie with her. I didn’t realize I had this book.
I still can’t believe January is almost over. It seems like it just started and I was looking forward to cake and a dinner usually in the opposite order but sometimes it changes. It just went really fast. Today is my Uncle Denny’s birthday he is the 5th or maybe 6th on the Alsman side I do believe I think another little cousin was born yesterday or today several years back. Boy I am feeling my age again.
When I saw that book there were two others with it. I couldn’t get over the names written on these books. I don’t know if they were Christmas presents or birthday presents.

My cousins wrote their names in each book they were giving me. I don’t get to see them much anymore at all. One lives in Chicago and the other in Evansville. Back before Christmas when their Grandma turned 100 years old I got to see them for the first time in nearly a 5 to 10 years or more. I must have really enjoyed putting stickers everywhere when I was younger. I don’t really remember doing that.
We had been given different things by our older cousins when we were all a bit younger. We had very crafty people in our lives. Their Mom is very crafty and is an interior designer. I remember seeing some plates they had made for us as well. On top of the plates Grandma and Aunt Mary had us make.
We had such a blessed childhood as Alsmans. What books have you kept from your childhood?
