I guess this depends on what you call a sport? I could watch volleyball it was something I liked as a youngster. I even took my 5th or 6th grade school photo with my team shirt on. However when I watch the Olympics I would always veer towards the gymnastics. I loved being a gymnast as a really young girl. Plus my brothers took classes as well they were too young to think it may have been too girly. It may have been good for them for different therapeutic reasons as well. James had a traumatic accident at a young age and Jared a year younger than me was born under difficult circumstances. A doctor who didn’t know what he was doing in this clear case of obstetrics. He nearly died in childbirth because our regular doctor was on vacation.
We all enjoyed our time doing gymnastics, but I think I got the most out of it. Club 10 was in Sullivan, that Tornado last year demolished the building. Every time I saw the sign, it was like a landmark for me. Now I don’t know if they will rebuild or if they moved somewhere else entirely. I also remember going to a lady’s house and she had classes out in her garage on White Rose. She’s no longer there and I don’t think she’s giving classes, but I have fond memories of my time in gymnastics.
We had a balance beam behind our house I don’t remember who put it there this house is different, but the foundation has housed 3 generations of Alsmans. I’m fairly sure it wasn’t my Great Grandparents I think it was Uncle Floyd if not Grandpa Freddy for us grandkids to play on. I specifically remember having fun with it.
