Wow… I think before Kodie’s accident last year it would be please don’t lay down behind the car in the carport. She seems to have learned that lesson the hard way. Of course, part of why she didn’t move was because she had an ear infection clogging up her ears. We used to yell her name over and over and it was simply no use to do so. We had to physically go behind the car to get her to move so she wouldn’t be hit.
She won’t let us touch her ears to wash them out. It was bad enough to endure our poking and prodding with her hurt leg. So when we tried several times to clean out our ears that was it she was having nothing to do with her ears being prodded too. Especially with what the Veterinarian already did to her ears.
So now we wish she could understand that her heated Dog Palace is warm and her chair in the carport isn’t. During these cold days she literally stayed in the chair with blankets instead of being warm in her personally heated Palace. We have never had a dog house with its own heater before, but after having to have her in the house due to the accident it got colder and she became used to being inside.
Thank goodness it’s warming up again.
