Jewells of Thought

This is the Vintage card I got from Grandma most likely as a teenager or young adult. I find it interesting how similar these two cards are this one I think I may have been too eager to get what was in the card than wondering why Grandma didn’t sign the card.

RIght as long as she signed the check or had the cash inside the card I was good with it! Does that sound as horrible as it sounds back into my ears?

However, today in the mail I received her newest Birthday card. My aunt takes care of this for Grandma now she helps organize this and does so lovingly and dutifully as a right hand for her. I still find it uncanny that this vintage card I just found looks quite like the new one or vice versa in shape and size. How did my aunt come across this specific card and how did I find this one card from Grandma that looked unique in style, but both picked at different times by my Grandma and my aunt. I guess the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree! They have a somewhat similar taste in design among other things.

I love seeing the similarities in Grandma and my aunts. Dad also shows a habit pattern with his sisters in different ways. Sometimes it’s just really funny how easy it is to see they are related.
