I have a little keychain or what used to be a one. The name on this says Jack Piatt. There are two sides to the piece. The front side says Jewell in large letters and then says this on each side.
“We’re easily influenced and drawn to them, truly a treasure, a precious gem.”
The back side says, “How far is near, and how near is far? if you’re looking up now we see the same star.”
Of course, jewel comes from the Bible there are many references to them in scripture. Usually denoting a value. My name specifically comes from a man in my life though. My Grandpa was named after a local musician. It took a long time for me to get all of the details of my name, but I am really quite blessed. My name is musical and has quite a history.
After years of figuring out the different little details I wrote an article with all of the ins and outs. It was as extensive as I could get. It was on the blog until I upgraded and I didn’t put it back up. I redid the site after keeping it up for a couple of months or more last year.
