Watching the video clips from the Former President Trump’s Town Hall the other night was very settling. The lady who asked the question was very thoughtful being a pro-life advocate and wanted to know his policy with abortion going forward. His stance on abortion is like that of most Americans.
Rewind a few years to the amazing God-moments of his first term. He didn’t just get the ability to find one candidate for the Supreme Court the Lord gave him 3 wonderful God-scripted appointments to make for this illustrious Court of the land. Then another God-moment within his presidency was the court case that specifically came to this newly minted high court. For all of those that remember the horrific events of the Roe v Wade case this was the blessing they had prayed for… for generations and it was actually happening nearly 50 years later.
This president was in the middle of these politically-altering events. Would you after all these victories squash the opportunity given to you? I wonder who believes that he wouldn’t still be where he was then; it seems preposterous. He doesn’t forget his moral compass like other candidates or a so-called incumbent president that does have a problem with memory. His answer was heartfelt and decisive as it should be as the leader he is.
Living in the Hoosier state, for me, and seeing what our legislature has voted for means the banning of abortion. Both words have such connotations for abortion. Those of us brought up to believe in the sanctity of life have troubles with that horrific sounding word. The termination of a pregnancy; the stopping of a heartbeat… a life. Then you have the word ban meaning to stop someone from using their rights and on this specific topic a woman’s body and her rights. No one likes being banned; but life is sacred and comes from God.
Trump’s answer is exactly what I expected it to be. The answer I believe that best serves both sides of the aisle, but more importantly the women going through the ordeal. As much as every life is precious there has to be exceptions and he named all three. God willing my future husband and I will be able to have a child, but if that doesn’t happen foster care and adoption are still viable options. Abortion is not the only option for woman.

Babies are a Blessing from God
My cousin and his wife are absolutely crazy about their baby boy. He may not have come from their loins, but he will be every bit their son as can be. Seeing my cousin last month was amazing; he was so ecstatic to be a father. I will not soon forget the happiness on his face and the glowing photos from their Christmas Card.
No one knows what is in their future. God has made us each to be different and unique. Our stories are shaped by the families and experiences we have seen and had in those relationships. A family, a baby… planning for it or not doing so is a part of life. We have to be compassionate and yet have a sense of our own values in mind. This is not a one person event when abortion is being talked about or banned. God gives us what we need, we make of the events… whether blessing or unpleasant time in our lives.
The Crises Pregnancy Centers are created to help all intersections of the woman seeking an abortion or truly confused and just needing sometime to listen to her. These aren’t government run, like the Planned Parenthood Clinics are, these Clinics have real honest to goodness people who take time from their lives in order to make a difference and a warm smile to those who enter the door. No judgement, these amazing men and women are there specifically because they have been affected by abortion or by someone else’s story they have come to know. They are there specifically for that person who is torn about a decision she has to make not just for herself but perhaps others.
You will not see anyone less than passionate about putting you first and making sure you, the mother, have every advantage you need to make a decision or perhaps make other accommodations.
