My Weekend Thoughts

Saturday seems like a month ago already. I just had to pause a few minutes to think about my activity from that day. Mom and I had to gas up the car and my car and get groceries in 22 degree weather. Even with my dressing for the weather I still froze while gassing up the car.

So I did what any red-blooded daughter would do. I asked Dad to fill my car up since I filled his car up. Going through the whole process again seemed too much for one morning. Especially when we still had groceries to get.

It wasn’t until late afternoon until he left the house. He did fill the car up for me though. This was very helpful and took some stress off my shoulders that day. After a very busy morning it was very necessary for an epsom salt bath for a sore foot.

The evening should have been less stressful considering I had very little to do that evening. However, I noticed something with my cross-stitch. I made a snafu. I counted the stitches over and over until it made my head hurt. I finally had to grasp the reality that there was a little problem. I will discuss that further in another article. It did keep me up longer than I should have been that night to try to rectify the issue.

So Sunday morning was a bit off. Not only was I fried mentally I was tired and it was a cold morning. Honestly I was not so sure I wanted to go to church, but I eventually got up and ready to go. It was when I went to warm up my car I got a rude awakening.

My doors wouldn’t open.

I was all ready to go and now I couldn’t open my doors and then my Dad tried. He didn’t have any luck either. So I had to stay home according to not having a maneuverable car leaving Dad the only one that went to church yesterday morning. Mom had a headache so I stayed with her getting the Chili ready and loading the dishwasher and washing dishes. When I realized my brother had been able to use his car to go into town I started asking how he didn’t have a problem as I did. He then mentioned the idea of my car being locked.

I didn’t lock the car and Dad didn’t lock the doors, but Dad did say Mom had trouble opening the passenger door the day before. So I don’t know… it was too cold to deal with yesterday.

This was the biggest nosedive temperature wise I have encountered since I have been put on this migraine pill. Used to I would have to absolutely cover my ears, take Exedrin possibly more than one dose over the time of the below average weather. I did brace myself, but this was my first test and my new migraine pills worked really well. My prophylactic medicine has been such a godsend for my frayed nerves over the years of these horrible sometimes week-long migraines.

Cold weather has been a threat over my head for years. Now this pill gives me the relief I prayed for so many times. I hadn’t felt this relief until my last month working at Dialysis. It was a trial run for one month and then fortunately I got out of my stressful situation. It wasn’t just a deterrent for stress it was amazing for stopping migraines of other purposes.

Also on Sunday our router dropped from the shelf halfway falling off itself. Dad had to fix it. For most of the evening though our internet was off and on at the same time, extremely frustrating. Thank goodness it seems back to normal this morning.

Well I guess that gets us all caught up. Today is a very important day politically speaking it will be neat to see what happens this week.
