In America did you ever think something like this could happen? A major player in the administration and pentagon could go AWOL and not be noticed during such a time with of unrest in the world?
My Grandpa Freddy couldn’t go home for a funeral back in the 1950’s due to protocol. It took my Great-Uncle, his war hero brother to get him time off to go to his own father’s funeral.
Yes these are two different scenarios. Grandpa was in the Navy and I don’t remember it may have been his first or second year in service. However, protocol was a little too stiff in this instance. Yet the Secretary of Defense Austin can be missed for over an entire week and not tell a soul who needed to know.
Frankly this is absolutely astonishing… but it’s this administration and they don’t hold the right people to accountability. There are two tiers of justice.
What I do love about this whole story is what surprised me last Thursday. Did anyone wonder why we all of a sudden after only 150 altercations by the Iran proxies on our troops, we targeted and killed the enemy. Did that not seem random and out of Biden’s policy to you?
It absolutely was because while Austin was in the hospital someone else took reigns in their little opening to do so and they took advantage of it. Ironically Austin’s number 2, a woman was also on vacation and did not know she was acting Secretary of Defense for a week. She was in Puerto Rico. This raises so many more questions as to who were actually making decisions then up to the point she was notified, but Secretary Blinken didn’t know Biden didn’t know.
Nobody in this White House Administration talks to each other or informs the so-called President. He truly is just a figurehead as is Austin as Secretary of Defense. This is a lot of information to digest and yet some have known longer.
Can you imagine how the men and women must have felt though being able to make that decision last Thursday after this too lenient and unproductive policy has been! They were able to fight back even in this once instance and show some American muscle once again. It took this horrible big mistake of this one man who knew better, but knew he would get away with it.
Austin worked with Biden’s other side Beau. Biden’s very loyal with those working with him. That’s why he hasn’t fired anyone since it should have happened with Afghanistan, it should have been him frankly. Doesn’t this web of laziness, unfettered loyalty and lack of transparency make you feel sick at times.
