This is another one of those loaded questions. Of course there’s no other specifics. Things could always go differently based on minutiae variances. It doesn’t always take a big decision or much other than being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
I missed Sunday School this morning. I wanted to be there especially since we started a new book this morning, but after an emotional conversation with my boyfriend it was so taxing that I couldn’t get up to go. Mom had to check on me to actually get me out of bed. I did go to church and because of it I made some different decisions.
Instead of being on the right side of the church I sat on the left side. The lady Dad as superintendent had me substitute teach for, Nancy, so many years ago, was sitting alone. I made a split decision to sit with her and it did my heart so much good. I learned a lot about teaching from observing her and assisting her. This morning we got to catch up all because we both parked at church at the same time and walked in together for church.
This wouldn’t have happened had I gone to Sunday School and I don’t condone not going to Sunday School. Sometimes God has other special plans on our off days. After church and another emotional conversation with him we made up and we’re good once more.
The Lord works in wondrous ways… when we need them.
