Second Birthday Card

Goodness I have had the opportunity to look through my piles of cards over the years. It’s kind of neat to see how the cards have changed or handwriting change as some get older. Observing the little nuances is neat the smallest cards with the little messages to the longest messages I have received each one is unique to the person in their life and to my birthday age at the time.

This card is one from Mom and Dad. I have to say this must be the longest card I have gotten from them. It’s very fancy looking and has both a father’s and mother’s pages worth of comments.

This stack of cards had been up for a few years. I haven’t touched this crate in at least a decade or more. This could have been from one of my birthdays while I was in college. Notice my Mom didn’t hijack either of my brothers to sign the card for me. I have caught myself doing that with Selena wanting her to sign cards for me especially during Christmas time. I have been turning into my Mom for a while but sometimes it just hits me in spurts how much at various times.

Is this being sentimental? Looking at these cards from yester-year? Do you ever take the time to look at past cards for one reason or another if you still have them around?
