January Birthday

My birth month is the first month of the year. So I am either the first or among the first in my family and friends to have birthdays in the New Year. A few days ago I unearthed some old birthday cards from throughout the years.

I have been blessed to have space to house cards in excess I am a little like my grandparents. I don’t think the Alsmans or the Bishop’s ever threw a card away, period. I know because I have personally looked through them at different times remembering the ones I had a hand in. My family doesn’t like to through anything personal away.

I even have my classmates cards from the skating party I had on the 13th birthday. So yes I have a lot of cards and I have thrown some of them away through the years, but I have various boxes for cards to hide. When I sort one box there are one to two somewhere else waiting to be found at another time.

This card was given to me by the church I have my first memories of and yet I don’t know what age I was turning here. I’m not certain who’s handwriting this is but they have really nice abilities in this department.

They say a picture is worth a 1000 words so what does keeping an old birthday card mean about the sender and the keeper!
