I’ve Noticed…

During Christmas I made the Cookies and Goodies. It’s fun to do and it’s also a tradition. It makes Christmas feel more Christmassy.

However, in the last two weeks including the days leading up to Christmas I made some either voluntary or involuntary decisions to stay away from my regular caffeine sources. This is kind of big for me considering how last year I thought I needed my Pepsi or Dr. Pepper to get started with my writing day.

I’m not exactly on the health kick, I still drink my sweet tea. This is a Bishop tradition, the Alsmans drink unsweet tea, but my uncles definitely put more than just 1 artificial sweetener packet in their individual drinks. Sometimes it’s funny to watch them.

Just in not having those drinks I feel slimmer the past week. It feels nearly incredulous from one little conscious decision. It does feel good though. I don’t have a pop every day and actually I have gone several days without having one and last night I actually did have a Pepsi. It kind of felt weird at first; maybe more refreshing because of the time in between.

Did you eat many goodies over the Christmas break? Are you detoxing from bad food habits? I know it’s not an easy task usually. Right now it’s working for me though.

I look like I could cry and I don’t know why… I have gotten a lot done this morning. I just look tired I guess.

This photo may not show me feeling slimmer very well. Or maybe these yoga capris are more favorable looking. Either way I still look atrocious after working on my room sorting through piles and then cooking dinner or as Selena would say lunch. Maybe it just feels good to get some things done and maybe our last couple of days of walking has also paid off.

What have you noticed since Christmas or the New Year started? Have you made resolutions? I don’t make resolutions just as I don’t give anything up for Lent. They aren’t necessary, don’t stick usually and God didn’t say to make them.
