Well very briefly I was a normal college student who went through orientation with the new freshman class. I got to know some of my classmates and moved into one of the best apartments I would ever have… and it lasted for less than 2 weeks. This experience was at the old version, the ladies only St. Mary of the Woods.
The amazing collegiate experience I had though was at Oakland City University down at Oakland City University. Being able to have conversations with incredible people including one of my University Presidents was amazing. I did have a difficult time calling him President Barber, because first he was my professor of Baptist Life Class. I did get the opportunity to work in the administration building most of my time at college. So I was able to work in the Presidential suite as well. It was exciting and nervous everything college usually is, but it was special considering I started in January without a real orientation with like the previous start.
I also enrolled in an online Medical Coding Class. This was done completely online with Allied Business School I learned a lot from taking this course. Maybe more than I bargained for somehow. It did help me with becoming a Dialysis PCT though and I have enjoyed knowing Medical Terminology. Even when it was hard to explain it to my family when we were living some of the illnesses through my Uncle’s death.
Knowledge is power.
