Bad Fruit

The testimony of the Ivy League Presidents happened back on December 5th I do believe. It took days for the first one to fall. Unfortunately the second one didn’t fall for the same reason.

The horrific presentations those women gave that day should have seen 3 resignations if not firing that very day. Claudine Gay as of today, January 2nd, has been booted out for an entirely different reason. Plagiarism is bad, but her inhuman lack of an answer was more of a reason for being fired in my mind than this.

It is intriguing how much I see Bible stories come to life right in front of me. The book of Proverbs is a wonderful book to read in the Old Testament. The stories tell us what to look out for and how to know when people are lying to us. Actions tell us a great deal about people even if their words say the opposite.

Do you see a tree of good fruit or bad fruit?

It still amazes me how knowing certain things about a family can tell me what may happen. Human nature is incredible. Habits can be changed, but it tells when a person doesn’t want to change.

What does it say about the President of the most prestigious university in the U.S. that she was okay with taking someone else’s words as her own? What does it say that Jewish lives need more context for their lives to matter more than any other nationality on campus? She would say her life and position means more to her and her Liberal friends apparently they fought hard to keep her in that spot for the past couple of weeks.

So I guess the question is what about that third Ivy League President?

The change in the top position still doesn’t stop the problems; changes are much deeper. It is important to see how American donors, Jewish donors, have had eyes widely opened over the past couple of months and what they can do.

The Bible shows us how to observe and pray for those we don’t trust. King Solomon just happened to be a Jewish King who wrote several books in the Old Testament. It’s interesting what you can learn from a rather ancient book… especially about bad fruit from people making bad decisions.
