My Spark for writing came back after a season of necessity. Five long months of healing and distraction have given me words again that I need to share and stories to bring smiles to faces even through the tears I had coming down my face first. Life keeps moving
though and I saw God working through my trials of healing everyday.
The last thing I did for play or fun would probably be these cards. I get to have cut out as many different pieces as I can and play with them and even the scraps are fun to play with. I get to be an abstract creator and use colors, shapes discarded and new to see if they actually fit well together. I find this highly exciting and fun to do.
Although last night I also had fun in the kitchen. I never get to add peppermint into anything I make unless it’s mainly for me. I made some Chocolate Fudge with a splash of peppermint extract. It smelled like Christmas to me. If I had had a candy cane I would have cut that up and thrown it in this first batch. I will make absolutely certain for Dad and Mom apparently there’s no Peppermint in the next batch.
Do you have to do that too? Prioritize your family’s likes and wants above your own when cooking or baking?
