Christmas Baking

Okay so last night I made some Peppermint Fudge. My parents may disown me, but my boyfriend likes the idea of peppermint in his fudge or maybe even quite a bit more.

Tonight I was going to try to make a couple of things but when I make plans the Lord smiles at them while He upends them.

I have been making Red Velvet Cookies for a couple of years and have not had any troubles. Last year, especially, I made a double batter and they were perfect. Tonight I don’t know what went wrong. First of all I couldn’t remember where my recipe was and then I followed the box instead of the cookie recipe. Then when I did finally find the recipe I looked at 2 T. Water and somehow thought 2 cups of water yes I know it doesn’t equate. So I put in one of my surprise ingredients Swiss Mix and more flour.

This has happened before and I can cover things up fairly easily by throwing another flavor into the mix. It’s kind of fun. However, I wanted to make cookies and that didn’t work so now they are brownies and actually look pretty amazing considering.

I just finished playing with caramels in my fudge recipe. We shall see how they fare tomorrow.
