What do you usually do for Christmas with your family? How has it changed for you as you have grown up? Have you created new traditions?

Cooking and baking have been a big factor in my family traditions. Also becoming the Chief Elf for Grandma Rosemary was exciting and fun to find the Stocking Stuffers for the Family. Today I tried to find some of those stuffers only to have life change my plans not once but twice this morning.

Firstly, I thought we would have a little bit of time to go find a few things and come home before lunch. I was so so wrong. Before we left the house we were redirected to my Uncle’s house to look for a title. Unfortunately it was not to be found. I wasn’t too happy about losing 45 minutes looking for something we couldn’t find. Then we had to take our car to get a tire fixed we knew we had to do this but we never got past Sullivan once we dropped the car off.

After heading to Walmart at Sullivan I didn’t even look at the bell ringer as I was looking in my purse. I missed seeing my Kindergarten teacher. On the way out I got to see that beautiful face from my childhood. She taught all three of us me and my brothers. We got into the bathroom though and Mom got a phone call from Uncle Floyd he was already at the house looking for the title again. He got there pretty fast.

As we headed back to the house we got the call the car was done. With the urgency to find this title getting back was more important. Fortunately my Aunt and Uncle brought us back over to get our car and also took us to China Wok for lunch. Really it was a nice time and Randy was able to send Uncle Floyd the photos from Saturday. So I got to see the big family photo where I and a couple of cousins were standing on the hearth. The photos were really good.

Finally with all of the BMV stuff done we waited until Dad went to work to try again with Stocking Stuffers. Thank goodness we were able to do so and now that we are home I have made my first batch of Christmas goodies; Fudge.

What is your favorite fudge? I like Butterscotch, Chocolate and tonight I made this batch with Peppermint in my Chocolate for fun. Dad won’t be happy, but I’ll make a regular batch in the morning.
