This seems a bit like asking for compliments. My prayer is that my work ethic, morals and attitude speaks for itself. Still my time at Wal-Mart as a cashier seems like forever ago, but different people have made comments and complimented me over the years. Ms. Gale is one of those ladies I worked with. Every time I have seen her and still see her she always says “I miss you, I miss working with you.” I considered her one of the higher echelons of cashiers and to get praise from her was very touching.
Never in my cashier career did I ever have troubles with coworkers or asking for help and getting it straightaway. Even my talk with a supervisor ended up saying we don’t want to lose you to becoming a CSM because you’re such a dependable and good worker on the register line. I have to admit that was also high praise for the shy girl who first started at 18.
Compliments from performing over the years also come to mind. Even when I doubted my own performances. I am very grateful for the compliments I have been given and do hope more may come, but not from manipulating the process of receiving natural comments from others. They will happen in their rightful timing without my needing to voice them first.
