Cleaning Time Finds

Monday when I began cleaning up a literal storm I found a few things. Some clothes I forgot existed and some odds and ends hiding in various corners of boxes. It was kind of funny, but nice to find some things I realized I really missed and needed.

Cross-Stitch was not just busybody work for me. Each stitch was important and I usually had a person in mind for each project I started and created. Although some were either personal or simply for fun for myself. This is one of those.

As big as this ended up being I thought it might be fun to turn it into a pillow. It was finished but never finished into a pillow. We shall see if that doesn’t change. It’s funny as I look at this I know I stitched every stitch… but it seems like a million years ago.

King Tut’s tomb was a treasure trove when found in the previous century. A curse followed this find and the ones who found it. Could this boy king in a fit of rage possibly call for the annihilation of the Jewish male babies during the time of Moses? Or was it the woman-king Hatshepsut? Different books I have read have explored both options.

Still… after all these years this idea has made it to American Campuses. Society has not learned from history, of course, if teachers and professors did their job well in the first place maybe they wouldn’t be doomed to repeat the past. Reading the Bible in schools would help students to truly understand the simplicity and complexities of good and evil. Harvard, Yale, Princeton those elite Ivy League Schools were built on learning the Bible. But what do I know I went to a Baptist University

But what do I know I went to a Baptist University after finding out my Dad and Grandpa liked the College. Plus it was in my best interest too.

Sometimes our elders do know more than we know at that age of my 18 years.

Ancient Egypt has such an intriguing history especially as tied to the Jewish people as they have been and as much as God loves the country Himself. I leapt at the chance to take this class with Dr. Cutchin along with my History Gang of usual suspects. There were several of us I don’t know about 5-7 of us that just couldn’t get enough of her classes we were among those blessed since her death in 2009. I hope there is someone equal to her in her position on Campus; they have had really big shoes to fill.

Does cleaning bring back big memories or do you find amazing things you needed or thought lost forever?

This on top of talking about stitching with Autumn has made me long for my needle once again. I still can’t find my Legendary Aircraft Book though to make another plane from World War II possibly. Maybe some more cleaning will help me to find it. I did look up my Tractor Series though and I found my Peanut’s scene.
