A Funny Frustrating Night

If only Last Night looked like this!

Last night ended up being chaotic and a tiny bit funny. Unfortunately a little fur creature was in the bathroom yesterday. We have three bathrooms and I can say it was not mine.

Dad had apparently declared it ‘boiled’ when he himself left for work. Once he was gone it was quite certain the thing was not completely boiled dead. So then fast forward to bedtime and things got kind of funny.

The not quite so little furry thing was still in the bathroom and making noises. So it led my Mom to make a very loud decision to take over half of my bed. The other little tangent to this was that Mom and I had taken Dad’s keys earlier in the day and hadn’t given them back to him. So we went to bed that was it I did my normal night routine and eventually was ready to lay down in bed.

As far as Mom and I knew everything was fine through the night. Once Dad got up I actually heard the entire story of what really happened last night. I never heard anything outside of course Mom was on the side closest to our parking lot.

When Dad got home he realized he didn’t have his key. Mom still had it somewhere. Oh my goodness I still can’t believe this happened and we couldn’t hear any of it. Dad banged on the door, rang the doorbell and none of the three of us heard it for 10-15 minutes. He said he called Mom’s phone, but not mine I would have heard that and answered it. Mom though, is notorious for not having or knowing where her phone is most of the time.

When he explained to me how frustrating it was I saw his anger rising reliving it. Plus it also brought up another question for all of us. What happened to our extra key? There used to be one and now it’s gone and that has to be rectified. Mom did give him back the key so it should be good again for tonight. We will have to figure a time to get another key made though for the extra.

Plus we still have a furry problem and I was afraid to broach that problem after hearing about what we didn’t hear last night. I think it’s also being rectified though. It was quite a scene last night with Mom furious with a furry and Dad locked out because I wanted to see if something was still at Grandma’s house yesterday. So Dad was locked out technically because of me.

It took Dad banging on my brother’s window to wake him up and let him in. Fortunately, that worked. Having Mom in my room that night and having moved things around had me out of my way of hearing what was going on plus Mom was sound asleep for a change.

What has been the craziest night for your family lately?
