I suppose I would have to say a genuine spirit. Someone who speaks with a genuine sense of truth and possible authority. I would have to say someone other than those women who testified before the house Committee this week. They were supposed to be women of a high moral standing with a list of degrees behind all of their names yet none of that mattered when they answered Representative Elise Stefanik’s simple question.
These American Universities have always been seen as the cream of the crop. Here in the 21st Century not just one woman but all of them were women Presidents testifying. There was also a haughtiness in their composure, sitting in front of the duly elected Representatives, like they were morally superior somehow. Not one of them expressed distress at what their students were experiencing with the lack of their leadership.
Admiration comes from taking action responsibly… something they need to learn as well as humility and empathy.
