Growing up we went on lots of neat trips together. Even as the whole Alsman Family we went to Missouri and stayed at Sikeston, St. Louis, and visited Cape Girardeau. Those were cherished family moments over the years.
Then as I became a teenager my brothers and I went on a trip with Grandma and Grandpa when something had altered other family plans with our parents. So they took us to Branson for the first time. There was something special about that trip; it was a one of a kind trip with them. Something that still gives me goosebumps remembering that I got to meet a celebrity, a professional clarinetist. I barely remember the differences and it has changed greatly in the decades since. The scenery was different with the red rock. It was like they had opened us up to a new vacation spot for literally over a decade. We have all been back a dozen times between my parents and me and my brother and his family.
It became a real sweet spot for our family with lots of cherished memories.
