It’s Devotion Time

Wow! It’s actually here the first day of our Book Discussion. Angela Hunt, one of my favorite authors is hosting an online discussion of her newest book. It is a devotion, “Star of Wonder” covers the span of the 25 days of Christmas.

This could not have come at a better time for me. My spirit was definitely getting pretty low. Today was about the first place of Christmas in Bethlehem. What do you know about the first Christmas? Are you interested in learning more about the little details? Christmas isn’t about presents it is about the gift God gave the world. Are you personally ready for this Season?

Already my demeanor and heart feels changed for the better. I had never heard of the word katalyma before. I love this! Doctor Luke was Greek and he used the word “inn” in his book 2:7. The Greek interpretation converts to katalyma meaning that in someone’s private home they can also host a guest room. To the Jews hospitality was a mitzpah a command.

According to a diagram she had on our group Facebook page the animals were in the lower floor of the three floor homes. The second was for the family themselves and the guest rooms were the rooftop or the katalyma.

This is just a fraction of what I have read and observed from the others posts. This is an intriguing and awesome experience and it’s just the first day.

Being creative with cards lately has been fun but today was exactly what I needed. Isn’t it funny how God knows what we need day to day!
