Jewells of Thought

This evening has been rather interesting. While I was watching the Biltmore Christmas another movie I was recording was debuting at Great American Christmas or Family.

Movies were always a family oriented event for the Alsman side of my family. “Christmas Through the Ages” has really unnerved me. This channel has really evoked the Christian side of Christmas in a lot of the movies this season. I see our family in this movie in so many ways. Plus the youngest of the 4 ladies mentioned a movie I happen to have, because of my grandparents and my uncles. “The Trouble With Angels.”

I am still watching this movie right now. There is something so overwhelmingly similar to what I remember with as a family being around family all the time. I really miss the closeness we had as we were growing up. This movie has just stirred up emotions I wasn’t ready to feel or expecting to experience.

Each woman shows off their years of experiencing Christmas as a youngster. It was a touching reminder. We don’t comprehend what our parents and grandparents Christmas were like for them. Plus it made me miss them something awful tonight.
