How do you answer such a question? After watching some of the footage of the first hostage exchange my heart goes out for the Israeli’s. Does it make sense that they have to give up actual criminals in order to get back their precious loved ones who have been kidnapped and only God knows emotionally and physically done to them for the past 7 weeks. Yet because they do want them back unequivocally they have to give in return 3 criminals for each of their own.
I grew up in Church I have read the Old Testament and the New Testament. I am a historian I have heard a lot of barbaric, historically cruel ways man can torture themselves, but this still seems like it only helps Hamas. They are most definitely not my favorite people in the world. These children who are literally coming back from hell will never completely heal from this and their families if they still have them left will feel a part of themselves missing.
These children, hostages need to be showered with prayers for them and their families for the foreseeable future. They will have a void that only God Himself can fill and this is exactly where their lives can go a very dark path quickly. As their ally, and good Christians we should pray for peace to come to these young minds as to all the hostages that will be freed in this 50 person deal, but also the ones left behind.
People do come in and out of our lives, but right now at this moment in time there are hostages who are innocent being held against their will. Families have been killed, and some watched it happen to their loved ones. Now the terrorists, have told the hostages that they have selected, to say only good things once they are freed. Otherwise something will happen to the loved ones they were forced to leave behind as hostages.
After nearly 2 months of having literally a sliver of time with my niece we got to make up for it this week. Watching this happen in Israel and not having much time with her lately has been an issue. Time with loved ones is not a promise or a right. Take advantage of the time you have with those most favorite people to you!

For the Christmas Season I will use photos of cards I have made for the Writing Prompts.
