Christmas Movies

Tonight was the debut for the ‘My Christmas Hero’ it is the perfect answer to the lack of empathy from this current administration. The Great American Christmas channel has been making wholesome movies and this one is high on my list this year.

Being the granddaughter of a World War 2 soldier who was fortunate enough to make it home this was an emotional show. It was difficult for me to not cry. So when I knew for certain that was the case I had to change my eyes out. I can cry better when I’m wearing glasses. When I wear contacts I run into trouble when I find myself crying.

My affection for World War 2 films is well known. So much that Gina helped me with this hairdo for a Mother’s Day Banquet in the same theme. There are a lot of lessons to be learned from the era of the Second World War. For some reason God keeps reminding me about those lessons and keeps me learning everyday about why I am doing what I am doing all because of my Grandpas.

This movie shows empathy for service members going through physical and emotional pain. We need to support them more. When they choose to wear a uniform they put their life on the line for us and our Country. We owe them at the very least a servant’s heart in return for their service and sacrifice.

God Bless our Servicemen and women! God Bless America!
