Reality

Tonight listening to some of the news worthy moments of the day has been enlightening. Lately friends of Israel and of America have shown their red lines. Some friends simply weren’t friends. Even Hollywood Celebrities and Democrats are showing their true feelings.

Democrats like Goldman and Moskowitz are usually straight party-liners. They are both Jews, I have watched both of them be partisan, but since October 7th they have also become more humanized. Early, within days of the attack, Rep Dan Goldman spoke sincerely of his daughter having nightmares from being inside Israel that weekend. Now Rep Jared Moskowitz is sounding more like a Republican. No ceasefire and he wants the $6 billion for Iran frozen.

Then at the protest Debra Messing, another person not mistaken for a Republican spoke eloquently and with passion. Then Michael Rapaport and his admission about Trump. That was a mic drop moment.

Where has this passion been for these people? Why did they hide it; they were always Jews? America has always been Israel’s ally!

I heard a comment from Ari Fleisher last week on Outnumbered. He said something I have believed myself for a long time. If the Left can spew hatred and lie over and over again and make naive students believe it just because they are louder and more pervasive we should use their tactics. We need to be just as loud and proud about the truth and create as much circulation in our circles to combat it.

Ironically when I tried to do something similar a few years ago some younger students who failed history class told me I was also spreading propaganda. I had to give him the definition of propaganda, unfortunately he was also in my brother’s class. I’m not certain he had my history teacher from the sound of it. I even had a wonderful reporter flank me on this issue. As sorry as I am for this younger generation it was sure nice to have support from some different generations.

When you are promoting the truth it won’t be easy, maybe that’s why those Democrats and Celebrities weren’t ready to have to stand up for their other Country. It is intriguing though to see the strength it takes for these individuals to stand up and speak out.

As a woman hearing that a successful American woman was taking a step for women was a balm for my soul. Dana Perino is very strategical minded and she has mentioned this many times over. Where are the wealthy, affluent women who could stand up for the treatment of women by Hamas in Gaza or anywhere?

Amazingly Sheryl Sandberg is one such woman. She is a member of the Women for Women International’s U.S. Board of Advisors. She has said, “Cries for Justice Will Help Victims”. She goes on the record to step up as a woman in a prestigious position to say something that matters and needs to be heard. “Not loudly condemning the rapes of October 7-or any rapes – is a massive step backward.” This article written by Virginia Chamlee, Sheryl Sandberg Calls On Americans to Denounce Rape as an Act of War: Cries for Justice Will Help Victims”.

Sometimes reality stares us in the face! The question is what will you do in the face of your reality?
