Never ever in my life did I think this could happen. Usually luck runs out if you believe in luck. I don’t know how many more times I can use the word dumbfounded so I used that word for the title.
Grandpa Leo has been gone for almost 24 years. I only had him in my life for nearly 14 years minus one month and 8 days give or take. Today out of the blue my phone got a series of messages. For a few seconds I totally believed I had been hacked I was afraid to look. My curiosity got the best of me within minutes and saw that most of them came from messenger.
A cousin of mine sent me several texts and two attachments. It took me a few seconds to read her words and comprehend the message she was sending me. This has happened now a third time this year since March. Finding letters from Grandpa to his Folks, or to Dearest Betty.
How does this continue to happen? I am so grateful and beyond amazed at what God has allowed our family to find when it comes to letters. I fully expected to lose speed, but we are still finding precious treasures though. Words do not adequately illustrate my utter awe and wonder at my Lord’s intricate handiwork… with these letters.
Kay, Daddy’s first cousin sent me this letter with the front and the back photos. Her dad, Uncle Norman also served in World War II and picked up being the Family Patriarch when Grandpa died being second oldest. Apparently, when their Mom, Grandma Mary died this letter got put in his stuff.
This is the stuff they made “Signed, Sealed Delivered” from with the producer and writers from “Touched By an Angel”. I am bewildered by the way we have found some of these letters, that they could be a “divine delivery” for our family… or for me?
I have been truly blessed; to ask for more of these treasures would seem like I was ungrateful. This is the 18th letter written from Grandpa that has been found this year since going through my grandparents house!
