An unfortunate communication problem has resulted in not seeing much of my niece for too long. Today was the balm I needed for my soul. Getting the text asking me what I was doing not too long before Sunday School was an immense feeling of vindication.
Today was a good day of time with her for all of us my parents, brother and me. We needed this on so many levels for so long. Yet it came with a bit of a price. Last night an accident happened including a car, a dog behind the car, and Dad backing the car up. It didn’t end well for the dog.
On top of that we learned that not all neighbors are created equal. Let’s just say that we had some even more unfortunate neighboring experiences we had not foreseen happening. We all got a little bit frustrated at how nosy someone could be and the irate antics this person would actually succomb in anger towards us.
As I said a frustrating event and still our dog is in pain and will need to heal. Yet while visiting Grandma today we began writing out our list of who’s making what for Thanksgiving. This year will be a hallowed experience with such a hole in the family. However, there is a new baby and another on the way to add some life to the festivities.
Then to add on to the wonderful day of having my niece at Church this morning one of our younger cousins was saved this morning. There is nothing sweeter than to hear that children have made decisions for salvation.
