First of all life is not made of wishes; it is a very simple notion that our problems can be solved by making a wish. Disney and Hallmark have used this idea of making wishes come true and to listen to your heart. This is foolishness from man not God. It is only a playtime option not for making everyday life decisions.

If you want to make a change in your life you are unhappy; it’s time to do some recalibrating in your life. Starting with asking God for guidance and reading scripture. The Psalms are good for encouragement; Ecclesiastes also reiterate there are certain times in a person’s life of seasons. We are not always happy, there are days to mourn and days to dance. Proverbs are good to show us the difference in the foolish and the wise men. Those who build their houses on the sand or rock. Then the woman who will be the Proverbs 31 wife or the fickle one.

It may seem cliche or old school, but the Bible does have the answers for every circumstance under the sun. The Lord created us He knows what we will face and gave us the way and the means to make our own decisions.

Prayer and a good work ethic is what will make “wishes” come true not a genie in a bottle. God has a specific purpose for everyone; sometimes it’s easier to see in others than ourselves but when you do discover your purpose it does feel natural.

Sometimes God has a process that we have to go through in order to find our purpose or to teach us how to use our gifts and talents. I have seen and felt this personally. I like writing about these stories behind the story articles. Goodness I feel this in how blessed I am with Bryan. Our unique circumstance has taught us individually how important our connection truly is and how rare it is in the grand scheme of online relationships.

Wishing doesn’t give us our dreams, only God does. What effort are you putting into these dreams? Like Joseph and his dreams are they of God? His brothers and even father may have been skeptical, but he had a personal relationship with God Almighty.

Dreams and wishes if they are pure and of God can be as amazing as Joseph’s, Zaphnath-paaneah as the Prime Minister of Egypt.
