Why do I feel like I have answered this question over and over again?
Athletics, playing sports was not a part of my genetic DNA. However, I was in Pep Band playing for those sports and I ended up being at most of our home games because of playing an instrument in the School band. Due to having flat feet athletics just wasn’t in my comfort zone or my wheelhouse. Although riding a stationary bike helped me during some bad diagnoses that actually have faded into history now. Walking has been good for my feet and to feel good physically.
Just because a doctor gives you a diagnosis doesn’t mean your life is over. If I had listened to the doctors for these diagnoses and didn’t gauge how I was coping I wouldn’t have tried some of these different things I did. Like going back to walking for exercise. I wouldn’t have even tried to become a PCT at a Dialysis Clinic if I didn’t think it was possible. I persevered through these difficult times and conquered some fears.
I withstood standing at Dialysis even when I knew I couldn’t anymore as a cashier at Walmart because of the difference of the floors. This was big for me and only through God’s nudges did I make it through. I am still walking because of God’s grace.
