As a girl who was taught to respect scripture current events boggle my mind. Israel is a special nation for God; they have been treated both with disdain and with special credence throughout history. The Bible shows us their history specifically.
This either shows my age or the fact this younger generation doesn’t respect history. Watching our Hamas faction of the Democratic side of Congress is depressing. Then layer that with the explosion of students nationwide showing allegiance with Hamas is even more exasperating. There is no way they are seeing the images or news I am seeing from reporters.
Hamas doesn’t show favoritism to anyone they have killed Palestinians along with Israelis. A woman from Michigan and her husband were overseas either in Israel or Gaza but they spoke favorably about the Palestinians and yet Hamas killed her and her husband. Why would they do that to people who stood up for them? Quite possibly because they don’t care who they kill?
September 11th happened in the fall of my junior year of high school. So I was 16 almost 17 in just a few short months. Nothing is certain in life and on that day for New Yorkers those in Washington D. C. and those in Pennsylvania everything changed in their lives in some little to monstrous way. We have some generations of Americans who didn’t experience that just like the generations after Pearl Harbor didn’t experience the tragic loss of that day. I am a bit unusual as a historian Pearl Harbor reverberates for me because my Grandpa suffered in a war for 10 months as a prisoner. I truly believe Grandpa made his decision because of that Sunday morning.
Grandpa Leo believed he had a duty to serve his country. Now there are young people who would take the word of known killers over our known allies; Israel. Sunday School and Youth Group meant so much to our family. It has been a guiding force and I am grateful I had people leading me in the right direction.
Who is leading these kids? That’s the problem though right? They are a generation of feelers! If something doesn’t feel right they don’t do it. They don’t have purpose in their lives due to the influence of left-leaning policy initiatives.
This is something I have never had to worry about. Not having a purpose in life. I know God has a purpose for every life; but He gives us free will to make our own decisions no matter how ignorant they may be. Music, or teaching I have always had a ministry in my church family and a purpose to excel and work through.
All of this came because of my family leadership and Church Groups most notably Sunday School. These students siding with Hamas don’t have the layered history of Israel and the Middle East in their repertoire to even talk about the longevity of this problem.
So how exactly do they know Hamas is the victim all of a sudden? Hamas wants to rid the world of every last Israeli this sounds very familiar to me. I believe Queen Esther had the last word with a certain Haman… funny doesn’t that name look very similar to Hamas!
