My leisurely reading has always been complementary to my writing. So when I was forced to be a chauffeur for mom I got a chance for more. I was able to catch up and read more than just a chapter at a time.
This used to be a favorite time saver of sorts. When I was doing doctor runs with family to read and see how many chapters I could get through in one sitting. Sometimes I could get pretty far it also depended on how long the chapters were though.
Now we don’t have as many appointments which is a good thing, but I have lost that ability to read as much as I want like I did. Now I am writing more and I do need more of a balance.
There are times I get in a World War II mode that it’s hard to prepare for a Bible account or vice versa. Changing the topic of books can be difficult for me at times. Or I am so excited about what I just read I am ready for the next book and unfortunately I have to wait until it comes out. My first Sarah Sundin Book I read there were 50 chapters I read it in less than 2 days. Each page needed to be turned as fast as possible. This specific book was when I realized I was healing from my mourning of Uncle Mike.
It only took time… and reading a lot of books.
