Big Clifty was magnificent to see with little effort I might say. Little Clifty was the exact opposite. I have finally walked off my soreness from that day, but it did take several days.

Look at how dry this riverbed is…
We walked down so many steps just to see a fairly dry bank. The other side was shallow but it did show some water.

Just a trinkle of a waterfall..
These photos were hard earned for me and Dad. Those sta

Those stairs were our nemeses. It took some extra time and breathing to do what took less time getting there took us. My legs aren’t nearly as long as Dad’s either. So suffice it to say we were ready for dinner at the point we got back to our other two who sat down in a comfy seat waiting on us exploring.

So after ordering the waitress said if you ordered salads or the bar go ahead to the bar. My order came with a side salad and I thought about that statement and went with it. I blame it on that formidable last hike to the Little Clifty. Anyhow I got my salad from the buffet and then she came out with two side salads. I blame it for not thinking or hearing clarification.
The fish was butter melting delicious though and the mashed potatoes were garlic goodness. I ate some of the fries but couldn’t eat all of them. Still it was a good dinner. Unlike McCormick’s Creek we weren’t hiding in the corner it was a wide open restaurant. It was nice and large and the booming nearly floor to ceiling photos were beautiful. It was enough to refresh our energy and refill our bodies for another walk alongside the Ohio River.
In one morning, I snapped all the photos to make 20 different collages, at least. It was quite a morning, but supper would be the topping of the cake.
