Jewells of Thought

This weekend has been a load of coughs and resting mixed in with a Reunion.

There has been a cadence of coughing since last week though. It started with Dad during our trip. Now there are 4 of us coughing. All of us in different areas of the cold window. He is now mostly over it I am the next James is in the middle of it and Mom only just began coughing yesterday.

It’s been a family experience. Yet the silver lining is finally approaching. It’s been such a gorgeous weekend the trees around here have been as beautiful as our trip down south last week. The temperature around here is also warmer than it has been for a few days which will be nice.

Saturday an unexpected notification came to me. I began following some of my favorite authors a month ago or so and have had a few incredible moments because of those few little actions. A moment of awe struck me when Kate Breslin reacted to my post and then we had a mini conversation. It was awesome.

Now I have been invited to be a part of a book discussion with another one of my favorite authors. I have at least 5 or maybe 6 books once I get this book we will be discussing it in December. Angela Hunt has created such page turners for me I can’t begin to adequately articulate how incredible this invite is to me. I am still dumbfounded over this and at the amazing act of grace that has allowed me to have the funds to purchase this book at this point in time as well.

If it wasn’t for this cold I would most likely be over the top starry-eyed. Needing to rest though; I have had to close my eyes and simply dream about this amazing opportunity given to me. I never had this much one on one time with authors I have adored for years. This is such a blessing… yet I keep feeling I need to pinch myself to wake up.
