Today was the first vote for Jim Jordan to be Speaker of the House. This feels like a farce. Why can the Democrats always work in lockstep together while the Republicans of infighting? Why is it so hard to coalesce around our one person and vote?
We are literally fighting amongst ourselves knowing full well we have another government shutdown looming. One Former Speaker McCarthy miraculously got around by the Grace of God, I might add. The past two weeks have been wasted. We can’t pass the appropriations bills Gaetz was all fired up on, a resolution for Israel, or a resolution to permanently stop the 6 million going to Iran.
Here we are possibly 14 more rounds with another group of the 20 wantabees trying to be hold outs for what? They are fighting for what the 20 did at the beginning of the year. That changed the way Congress business was handled; this is personal whether against Gaetz or just being stupid. We have enough people being stupid in our government we don’t need to make the Democrats to look better. They are not the ones promoting law and order and common sense… yet here we are two weeks without a Speaker.
As a Hoosier, knowing Ms. Spartz was one of the 20 also irritates me. Thomas Massie, although I like the Representative was not the one they were voting on. She is not in my vicinity, I didn’t hear what my guy said I did hear Erin Houchin say Jordan though. I missed what Buschon said, but his name wasn’t on the list of 20. This is just really tiresome. They can’t vote on their own personal feelings they have constituents who have entrusted them to make decisions for the good of the districts they live in and are served by them their servant in Congress.
Scalise was a good name and it was thrown out. The time for playing around is over the Republicans need to coalesce around Jim Jordan or find someone else soon. This waste of time is excruciating.
Each time I see the Democrats and how united a front they portray whether they like each other or not gets under my skin. Their policies are awful yet they don’t care they know how to come together and get things done. The American Public was finally seeing the evidence the hearings have uncovered now from one weekend so much ground has been lost. Two whole weeks have passed since anyone has mentioned the Impeachment Inquiry and I’m certain the Democrats and the White House are simply giddy over.
