Last Night

Believing we would have a nice restful sleep was a little bit naive, I suppose. The one upside is that I wasn’t completely alone on the 9th floor like I was at Drury Inn last year. Fortunately there’s only 3 levels here. That did make me nervous looking out that window last July.

9 Floors up at Drury Inn in Carmel, Indiana

I had to take a photo it was too ironic that my coworker was on the 2nd floor, but I didn’t know about her until after our first night there. Although that bed was much softer than this one I’m sleeping on and it was a Queen size and didn’t have my brother on it.

Mom and James both have sleeping devices and usually I’m out of earshot of them through the night. Somehow James’ mask came off his face and the loud noise was literally inches away from my head. Sleep was a tad bit difficult last night. He kept moving so I kept moving. He is bigger than me so I have less space of my own. Really I didn’t get as much sleep until 6 am when Mom and James decided to get up super early. Then I had the bed to myself until 7:30. Goodness I will be happy to be back in my own bed tomorrow night.

Fortunately with the threat of smelling something disgusting I have lysol. My number one essential have to have with me on a trip. I even had to use it on him yesterday.

Somehow I wasn’t thrown off the bed. I don’t know how it didn’t happen but it didn’t. I wonder if Dad ever threw his sisters off the bed. All through the sale we kept talking about whose rooms were where and that Dad had to share with his sisters, but he also finally got his own room. Yet it was also mentioned that his room was made into the laundry room It’s not a bedroom anymore. Yet it could still be made back into a bedroom again.

We all had a lot of fun talking up or down the sharing of bedrooms with siblings. However, 6 kids and only 3 bedrooms you make do. I was fortunate I was the only girl and I was always given my own room; except on vacations.

Dad’s room was where the window on the right is in the photo. I thought I had a photo of it I don’t the breezeway is now where Grandma is standing I love this photo of her here.
