Busy With A Heavy Heart

All morning I have been only seeing headlines and not able to watch any videos. My phone would lose charge more easily if I did so. One headline was that Scalise didn’t have the votes and Jordan still has a fight to win the gavel.

Israel has been at the back of my mind all week. Today, my news junkie side was reeling that I couldn’t easily see what I could on my laptop. Yet pure exhaustion was also taking over my senses at times. A stalemate in Congress is the last thing we need right now, but it’s not what we need for this Country at this point in time.

Wow just moments ago I saw a video Steve Scalise has now withdrawn from the candidacy for Speaker. This is such a horrific display of Republican infighting again, unless it is what I initially thought yesterday. How did he win the closed door vote from the Republican Conference when I have heard more people pledge support for Jim Jordan most of the week. I don’t understand this, unlike once again, it’s a minority fringe group trying to rush through a vote with one man over the other.

I have mentioned before I like Scalise and Jordan, but Jordan isn’t facing cancer. We need someone not injured to do battle for our Country and our allies right now. Tough decisions have to be made. One of our Representatives instead of voting today was in Israel. He felt, as a Veteran and an Official in Office it was his duty to also be getting Americans out of Israel. He has saved over 30 Americans this week because of that heart of his and sense of duty. Cory Mills of Florida is one of the men who has for a second time done not only Biden’s job, but his State Department’s job for him; so he said.

Our American Veterans are Special. They can’t stomach Americans lost in our Countries like this they fought to keep Americans safe no matter what soil they were on.

We had two flags for sale. I just happened to take all of the other flags we had a few weeks ago. There were two bigger flags, but our pole at home already has one. Both of them went home with someone today!
