Fortunately with the seriousness of the Israeli Attack our lawmakers seem to be taking this as they promised to. A candidate has been selected behind closed doors with a secret ballot. Still this is not the final vote.

Rep. Steve Scalise has been tallied to have been the winner of this secret ballot. Yet like I said this was not the last vote this was simply among the Republican Conference. It does sound like before the night is over if our lawmakers can still keep it together will have our next Speaker of the House named.

Honestly I was hoping for Jim Jordan he has already said no to continuing Ukraine funding and that made Biden nervous. I don’t really know Scalise’s take on the continuous funding for Ukraine. That makes me a little nervous.

Both men have vowed to stand with Israel though and will have resolutions at the ready when the vote tally is finished.
