My Spark for writing came back after a season of necessity. Five long months of healing and distraction have given me words again that I need to share and stories to bring smiles to faces even through the tears I had coming down my face first. Life keeps moving
though and I saw God working through my trials of healing everyday.
This is Grandma Betty at the back door that is now her breezeway. This bloom is from the front of her house.
Today has been quite a day. Unfortunately I slept in a bit more than I intended. Walking helped though. I needed my time, 40 minutes, in the fresh air.
Tuesday was a stressful day for me. Each day I have walked into Grandma’s house; more pricing has accumulated my workload. The difference in a regular yard sale and an Estate Sale seems to be lost on certain people. I was specifically asked to look up better prices for some of what we knew to be family heirloom dishes. That was not the extent I had to work through finally I was able to get my Dad and one of his Sisters on the same page with me as far as to how to price these, but it isn’t exactly an easy task.
So today after making myself sick with worry for far too long when the bulk of my duty was done yesterday; I took a break today. I have spent way too much time on my phone pricing on top of my regular screen time writing throughout the day.
Honestly though I have threatened to stay home through the whole sale. I am exhausted and not everyone is on the same page, which is frustrating. With the Farm the Alsman’s have Family Meetings, that hasn’t exactly happened on the Bishop side. The ironic thing is My Mom’s older brother is a banker, Dad’s three of his sisters were also bankers including Aunt Carol who managed everything for Grandma. She has been our missing piece.
