He is not going to run for Speaker again.

Even while he was the Minority Leader, more Women are in Congress because of him. The Conference Chair stood firm with those words this afternoon, Elise Stefanik of New York. Republicans one after another spoke with such conviction men and women in one accord.

Some of them were giving examples of how different things were because of McCarthy’s leadership the past 9 months. Literally a dichotomy of what had become normal Democrat management.

I am still vexed that this happened today. I understand that spending money as Congress has needs to be reigned in and the CR’s are not good. However, this weekend was one of those special moments where magic actually happened in the Senate allowing for the Speaker and the Republicans to look good.

The American public would not know what we know about so many topics of interest without the Republican Majority. McCarthy is a big reason why we have the seats from the 2022 election cycle. Now nothing of substance can be done until another Speaker is voted on. There are 42 days left on Saturday’s new deadline.

The interim Speaker will be Rep. Patrick McHenry Republican from North Carolina. We need to pray whatever happens we don’t end up losing the majority back to the Democrats to foolish behavior after all the wins we have had in the past 9 months of Republican leadership.
