The Written Word

This weekend was a bit crazy. Saturday morning though I began to do some fiddling on the Jewell’s of Thought Facebook page. Looking through some names of Authors and also local businesses. In doing so I was not thinking like I normally do, analyzing my decisions and over thinking even my likes and heart emojis.

There is a list of Authors I have that absolutely take me on journeys Some throughout the fleshed out times of the Bible and others are anywhere with Europe during the 20th Century Era of World War II. I should also say the South Pacific is also among those books and I can’t forget Hawaii with an Amish flyer. I love my books and I love how God gives such amazing stories to Christians with a talent for writing.

So it was Saturday late morning or early afternoon before the parade. I found a few of my favorite authors and followed them. I have written letters to my elected officials and I write a blog, but when it comes to telling my favorite authors how much their books mean to me I am spastic. I have never written to any of them even though the idea has come to mind.

I shared a couple different posts of my favorite authors and never thought anything about them taking notice. I shared it to my account so I just wasn’t thinking plus I think I was still dealing with being tired from the night before. Knowing the funeral and the viewing was the next couple of days was emotional as well. Not to mention the misunderstanding with Bryan.

It wasn’t til we were on our way back from the parade I noticed I had notifications from my Facebook page. When I noticed the name attached to the message; I freaked out. It actually spanned a couple of days of replies. This was surreal talking to the author of ‘For Such A Time’ a book I have read so many times I have often thought of it as a movie. She brings this forbidden love story to life in such a way it really spoke to me.

When I first read this book two songs came to mind. I actually twisted them together and performed it that way a couple of times. It was incredible. Ms. Breslin made my weekend when I needed something amazing to boost my spirits during the first week after my aunt’s death.

Exchanging words and emojis with Kate Breslin was such a blessing it can only be a kiss from God that I needed.
